About My Clients
Are you noticing that everything in life feels like it’s just a little too much lately? You might be feeling stuck, struggling with your personal relationships, having difficulty getting through your day-to-day, and feeling haunted by things in your past. You may shut down to avoid conflict and avoid others altogether, or feel like you can’t get a handle on your reactions when emotions run high. You don’t have to suffer alone anymore — together we can find a path forward.
What I Specialize In
My approach is grounded in attachment theory and somatic practices, focusing on the deep connection between your mind and body, helping you to gently release the hold that trauma has had over you. Through a Trauma-Informed lens and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I’ll walk with you step-by-step. Together, we can gently explore the layers of stress and pain, helping you move forward with renewed clarity and confidence in yourself. I have training and experience in TF-CBT (Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Play Therapy, Attachment Therapy, EMDR, and sand tray therapy; as well as working extensively with adults, teens, and kids in developing skills for emotional regulation and trauma processing in the adoptive/foster care community. With specialized training in family relationships and attachment styles, I am confident that we can work together in finding a way through your struggles, together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all human first — which means we all have the capacity to feel and experience something different than what we’ve had so far. I believe in the goodness of people and think that everyone in any situation should be met with curiosity and compassion, without judgement. I am an ally and do my best to stay knowledgeable and competent in order to support marginalized groups and communities. When I'm not being a therapist, you can find me curled up in a cozy chair with a book of mostly any genre, escaping into a binge-watch of a captivating series, or playing with my 3 pups. I am a huge believer in nature’s ability to help heal your soul, so on rare occasions I run away to Rocky Mountain National Park for fresh mountain air.
