About My Clients
Being successful doesn’t have to mean feeling burnt out, overworked, or stressed. Working in your 20s and 30s often involves significant challenges. Finding a work-life balance in a career you find rewarding is a taxing process. Right now you may be struggling with feeling disconnected and dissatisfied. You may feel misunderstood or insecure. Loneliness, emptiness, and unworthiness don’t have to define your story. I’m here to help you change it.
My Background and Approach
Therapy with me is flexible and I tailor my approach to your unique needs. In general, I value responding with empathy and curiosity, while also challenging you to think about things in a new way. Together, we can help you understand why you think, feel, and behave the way you do. By understanding yourself better, you can have more control in living the life you want to live. People often struggle emotionally when they feel disconnected from others, which is why with most clients I focus on understanding relationship patterns. This includes your current relationships, your past relationships, and your relationship with me. I earned my Master’s and Doctorate degrees from George Washington University. I completed my postdoctoral work at Georgetown University’s Counseling and Psychiatric Service, where I developed clinical expertise working with university students and young professionals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our identities and the intersectionality of our identities impact how we interact in the world. I am committed to affirming diversity and providing culturally sensitive treatment. I invite conversations about diversity in the therapy room. I take a stance of cultural humility and value continual self-reflection.
