About My Clients
Did you have an emotionally unavailable, neglectful, intrusive, or abusive primary caregiver? Has this impeded you from being able to feel comfortable in your own skin and sustain healthy long-lasting personal and professional relationships? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, we can work together to get curious about positive ways to relate to yourself and others while healing from past traumas. Working together can help you flourish in life and in your relationships.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in: childhood and intergenerational trauma; attachment issues that make finding and staying in healthy relationships difficult; codependent relating patterns; perfectionism; career changes; ambiguous loss and grief; adult children of mentally challenged parents; parenting; and pregnancy & postpartum issues. With care, skill, playfulness and heartfelt attention I bring a new perspective to your specific situation. As a therapist I get interested with you about how to respond to your inner conversations, and outer world interactions, in ways that create more equanimity, love and happiness in your life, instead of creating more stress. I offer an approach that integrates interpersonal psychodynamic talk therapy; trauma-informed somatic therapy; and positive psychology. To regulate the nervous system I offer neuropsychology theories in conjunction with Buddhist psychology and contemplative practices.
