About My Clients
My ideal client is a motivated adolescent or young adult, open to self-reflection and growth, aiming to replace maladaptive patterns with healthier ones to improve relationships and self-awareness; I support them through life transitions, anxiety, relationship issues, family dynamics, body image concerns, academic challenges, and trauma, with both short-term and long-term therapeutic approaches.
My Background and Approach
Before I am a therapist, I am a human being. I understand completely how cruel this world can be sometimes, as I have experienced it myself. If you learn one thing throughout our sessions together, I want it to be that I care about you and wish you the greatest success in life. Everyone has a desired potential, and I want to work with you to reach that by supporting, empowering, and championing you throughout your journey. I practice from an authentic, judgment-free, unbiased perspective and want you to feel like you matter after leaving our sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
During high school and college, I volunteered at an orphanage in the Dominican Republic, visiting yearly to play with the children and bring clothing donations; this experience taught me that kindness and generosity matter far more than material things. I’ve also worked with the Mercy Center in New Jersey, packing Thanksgiving meals for families in need. Passionate about fitness, I believe physical health supports mental well-being and have personally experienced the positive impact of exercise since starting the gym and running during COVID—I now encourage clients to find movement they enjoy. I’ve always been a dog person; after my dad’s passing, I found it easier to express love toward my dogs, who have given me comfort over the years. Last year, I rescued my dog Harlow, who is now my sidekick, and inspired by her loyalty, I hope to one day open a treatment center that incorporates animals in therapy.
