About My Clients
If you are someone looking to better manage symptoms of anxiety/depression that are affecting your day-to-day, regulate your emotions, communicate better in relationships, set boundaries, connect with your values, and build insight to your past--you are in the right place.
My Background and Approach
I would describe myself as professional, approachable, and above all else, human. As a therapist who has not “reached the top of the mountain” (as if there were such a thing), I acknowledge that I, too, am on my own continued journey of growth. Therapy is both a beautiful and painful process that untangles the many aspects that make you uniquely you. I utilize an eclectic approach and incorporate elements of various modalities tailored to your individual needs. My experience, to date, has been informed by cognitive behavioral therapy based models (CBT, DBT skills, and elements of ACT). Throughout our time together you can expect that I will be compassionately curious about the interplay of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how that impacts you in the here and now.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all doing the best we can with the tools we have been given. Getting curious about these patterns allows us to be more present and intentional in our lives. Therapy should be a collaborative, non-judgmental, and safe place for you to feel heard, validated, and empowered. It is my goal above all else to meet you where you are in life and to assist you in building greater compassion for yourself.
