About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating trauma, chronic illness, and major life transitions. My ideal client is someone seeking support through difficult times, whether that’s coping with health challenges, processing grief, or managing mental health. I value creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and ultimately find strength in their resilience.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychological Studies, along with a Master’s in Social Work, and I have extensive experience supporting individuals dealing with trauma, chronic illness, and mental health challenges. Having personally navigated significant life transitions and health struggles, I bring a unique, empathetic perspective to my work. My approach is integrative, blending evidence-based therapies with a compassionate, client-centered focus. I emphasize the importance of building trust, exploring underlying issues, and empowering clients to develop practical tools for resilience. With my experience, I am committed to helping clients uncover their strengths and create lasting, positive change in their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of empathy, authenticity, and human connection. As someone who has personally faced significant health challenges, I understand the importance of resilience and finding meaning in difficult times. I am deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive space for all individuals, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or background. I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard and understood. I also strongly advocate for mental health awareness and the normalization of seeking help. In addition to my work as a clinician, I actively support causes related to cancer research, mental health advocacy, and social justice.
