About My Clients
I work primarily with LGBTQ+ adolescent and adults of all different backgrounds. My clients are most often seeking tools to cope with anxiety, depression, adjustment to life stressors/changes, gender identity, trauma, and family stress. They are curious about themselves, aware of the importance & value in the therapeutic relationship, and invested in discovering all parts of themselves.
My Background and Approach
I received my clinical training at Simmons University, and have clinical experience from a variety of settings ranging in acuity. I have practiced therapy with adults at an LGBTQ+ health center, worked with families of all different backgrounds in the community setting, and treated adolescents in psychiatric crisis in the hospital setting. My diverse background, and LGBTQ+ centered trainings & my own life experiences, have helped me to create an affirming, gentle, and client-centered space in which to work together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the importance of therapy, and have found tremendous value in my own therapy throughout my life. I am committed to creating a comfortable & non-judgmental space, and I'm working all the time to acknowledge my own privilege, and the way that social dynamics can impact the therapeutic relationship. If you'd like to learn more about my beliefs or how I could help you, shoot me a message.
