About My Clients
Are you overwhelmed by the amount of doctor's visits, specialists, and therapists that your child has to work with in order to function? Have you lost yourself in the special needs and disability world? It's easy to lose yourself in the stress of daily life with a child with special needs. You can prioritize yourself AND be there for your child and family. I would love to help you have both.
My Background and Approach
My approach is client-centered: you are always in the driver’s seat and I’m on the passenger side. I meet my clients without judgement and with compassion. Every single one of my clients is unique, and therefore I don’t use the exact same approach with every client. In general, I use mindfulness-based practices, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I also work with you to make sure you have tools and strategies to manage acute stressful events.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that there are so many resources out there for children with disabilities and special needs, but there is a gap in services for their parents and for their siblings. I want to fill that gap. The special needs world is an incredibly overwhelming world to be in and I'm passionate about helping people take care of themselves after spending so much time caretaking for others.
