About My Clients
I work with young children and adults who are motivated to make positive changes in their everyday life. I work with a wide range of mental health challenges such as life transitions, substance use and addiction, anxiety, or depression. This could be someone who feels like they don't fit into a specific place in this world, feels lost, struggling to find their identity in their teenage years, or has fear and anxiety controlling their life.
My Background and Approach
You can expect a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where you can freely express yourself. I strive to create a safe space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I will actively listen to you, seeking to understand your unique perspective and challenges. Together, we will explore your concerns, goals, and aspirations. I will encourage open and honest communication, allowing the therapeutic alliance to flourish. Ultimately, my goal is to support you in gaining self-awareness, building resilience, and fostering personal growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Through my years of school, volunteer work, and internships, I have always been passionate about helping underserved communities find resources and help. I have done a lot of work with incarcerated individuals assisting them with re-entering society and working through the challenges they face. Social justice and equality within our communities are vital and everyone should be given the resources to thrive along with an equal opportunity in life. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers which allows me to stay up to date on what is happening within this field as well as in the world and gives me opportunities to attend events to further my knowledge on specific topics.
