About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of clinical psychotherapy experience in various mental health and school settings throughout Los Angeles and New York. After earning my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA, I attended Columbia University and received my Masters of Science in Social Work in 1998. I’ve enjoyed working with individuals, adolescents, families, and bicultural, bilingual immigrants ever since. I work through a social justice oriented approach and trauma lens, and enjoy helping people improve their lives through the process of exploring their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. Psychotherapy can be a beneficial and enlightening experience, with life-changing results. Throughout our time together, I will draw from a number of therapeutic techniques and methods to tailor a course of treatment to your particular needs. With time and work, you’ll be well equipped to navigate and overcome the obstacles that may be facing you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In our therapy I believe in the power of connection, compassion and emotional growth. Treatment is focused on you and I believe that you are capable of discovering the answers that you have been looking for to reach your goals. My aim is to provide a non judgmental, genuine, culturally sensitive and empathetic environment to help you explore your thoughts, fears, feelings and beliefs. I am able to provide mental health services via online/telehealth to residents in California and Florida. I welcome the opportunity to work with you!
