Are you constantly feeling self-defeated? Do you feel like what other people want from you is more important than what you want from yourself? Are you unhappy and resentful because you try so hard to please everyone else? Is it a real struggle for you to be vulnerable in your relationships with others? You are not alone. Many of my clients struggle with the same issues! You are here because you have made a powerful choice —to put yourself first.
My clients are looking to make specific changes in their lives and want an interactive therapist to help provide insight, as well as specific tools and strategies for coping and, ideally, transformation. I frequently work with people around boundaries, trauma, anxiety and depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and issues related to chronic pain and illness.
I have a special passion for working with artists and creative professionals as they wrestle with fears, fantasies, depressions, manias, and all the challenges not only of making art but of making a living through art. I also love working with adolescents — how I wish I'd had a therapist when I was in high school! — as well as folks working through addiction and recovery. I also work with couples of all stripes and with patients who are, like me, part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Having been in the field for over 30 years, I consider myself to be a seasoned generalist. I enjoy working with people presenting with a broad range of psychological concerns. Some of my areas of interest and specialty include Sexuality and Gender, Identity Development, Mindfulness, and Spirituality. My work is inclusive and queer-affirming. I enjoy working with relationship dynamics of all types, and my approach is interpersonal and depth oriented.

My clients are creatives, artists, healers, highly sensitive people, and empaths. They are also people who are struggling with chronic pain and/or fatigue, low self-esteem, people pleasing, attachment wounding, nervous system regulation and executive functioning.
I'm LGBTQIA+ identified and aligned, and many of my clients tend to be as well. I use attachment and trauma informed psych models, and have treated a lot of high-trauma clients. I'm authentic and direct, and that works very well with people who prefer direct communication and people on the autism and ADHD spectrum.
Welcome! As your therapist, my aim is to provide a sanctuary where we address your concerns from a holistic perspective. My practice is tailored for individuals who identify as queer, trans, non-binary, or are exploring gender and/or sexuality. Embracing a trauma-informed approach, I acknowledge the experiences you've endured and can support your journey toward healing. I do best with people who like being asked deep questions and who are motivated to make changes.
Do you seek liberation from a critical inner voice that seems to speak without pause or spiral at the slightest sign of self-doubt? Are you in the midst of a big transition and want support in connecting with your own authentic needs and desires? Therapy helps my clients understand how early life experiences, difficult relationships, or traumatic events impact how they see themselves in their present-day life. Illuminating old stories provides opportunities to re-write your next chapter.
To say she’s mastered the art of the nonconformist teenager is an understatement. And honestly, you couldn’t be prouder. You know a thing or two about marching to the beat of your own drum. And while she’s happiest at home with her bearded dragon, you long for her to feel confident in exploring new friendships. You know she's been burned in the past, but you want her to start giving new people and experiences a chance. You understand her discernment, but it's time to start letting people in.
