About My Clients
I'm queer and LGBTQIA+ aligned, and many of my clients tend to be as well. I use attachment and trauma informed psych models, and have treated a lot of high-trauma and late diagnosis clients. I'm authentic and direct, and that works very well with people who prefer direct communication and people on the autism and ADHD spectrums.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in helping people reset to a secure attachment style. My other main areas of focus are addiction, autism, ADHD, and chronic illness (with extensive experience helping people navigate medical gaslighting, HIV/AIDS, TBI, and long-covid). My style is anchored in cognitive science, attachment theory, mindfulness, social justice, parts work, somatic psychology, and archetypes. I value science equally with the domain of intuition and art, and I consider myself an especially huge nerd with evolutionary psychology.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that mental illness is usually rooted in a toxic culture. In regards to my practice, I consistently strive to bear in mind models of thought that avoid pathologizing. I think people with outdated thinking were the main players in establishing and perpetuating the mental health institutions, psychology theories, DSM, etc., which persist to this day. The profound damage that the baked-in stigma in these systems is doing on both an individual and societal level is beyond words.
