About My Clients
I work with clients who are look for a space to explore themselves and the stuck places bringing them to therapy in the first place. Sometimes I see myself as a therapist for folks who may not be fully sold on the whole therapy thing, and I do not believe in a "one-size fits all" approach to therapy. Perhaps you are seeking out psychotherapy for the first time, or you have tried therapy at different points in your life. Together we can explore why it may be that you are coming to therapy now.
My Background and Approach
I work from a strongly client-centered and psychodynamic lens, where I often incorporate mind/body and mindfulness interventions to support your nervous system as we work together. With a background in dance and my own experiences in therapy, I value using the therapeutic relationship as a base for supporting you in growing a deeper and more embodied relationship with yourself. I offer therapy to adolescents and adults, and I specialize in supporting folks with depression, anxiety and self-esteem related challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I am passionate about providing people with a warm and safe space where they can be seen and allowed room to explore their most authentic selves. I believe each of us has a light within us that has the ability to shine even in the hardest of times, but sometimes we may feel detached from this lightness. We may be in need of a safe environment to connect to, nurture and re-brighten this light or our lives. I will hold curiosity, compassion and honor your courage to look within yourself as I work alongside you as you begin to explore what is moving you towards healing.
