About My Clients
**Immediate in person and virtual openings** Whatever you're facing, you don't have to face it alone. If you find yourself struggling to be understood, therapy with me can provide a safe and private space for you to talk through your thoughts with a supportive, confidential partner. All my work is LGBTQ+ affirming. I specialize in helping folks who are experiencing life transitions and couples at any stage in their relationship.
My Background and Approach
Over my ten year career as a Counselor in schools, I was exposed to a wide range of folk's experiences and struggles. I became acutely aware of how trauma impacts our ability to cope with life's stressors. Now as an LPC-Associate and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I have a warm and gentle approach to helping people live their most genuine lives. I have a special interest in helping people break away from the mental anguish of leaving a highly controlling group or relationship. I use a combination of psychoeducation and traditional talk therapy techniques in session. With couples, in addition to the approach mentioned above, I use my training as a Gottman therapist and certified Perpare/Enrich facilitator.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Since becoming a founding member of the Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) at my high school at the age of 16, I have always considered myself an advocate for communities needing allyship. During my time as a School Counselor in public schools, I put equity at the front of my work, ensuring that my office was a safe space for our students who identified as LGBTQ+, BIPOC folx, and undocumented students. I also served on committees promoting restorative practices on campuses and promoting inclusivity of all kinds.
