About My Clients
If you are looking for a nonjudgmental space to heal, grow, and explore your identity, this may be a good one. You may be ready to deal with distressing feelings related to depression, anxiety, trauma, identity, relationships, or something else. You can expect a smiling face, laughter, and crying in our sessions. I’m all about feelings. Don’t worry, we will take things entirely at your pace! When it gets hard, we will hold hope for a better future.
My Background and Approach
I work from a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. Therapy with me is relational, interpersonal, and attachment based (meaning it is in-the-moment). My work is anti-diet, anti-racist, culturally humble, and intersectional. I also pull from Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I find that these are helpful for providing specifics skills and frameworks for us to rely on when needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community, as a Queer woman myself. LGBTQ rights are extremely important to me, and I use my position in mental health to help my communities. For example, I provide letters for trans-affirming care within one session only.
