About My Clients
Many of my clients are adult professionals who are struggling to cope with the demands of life while trying to find greater meaning outside of their work. My skillset is particularly useful for: clients with their harsh inner critics and low self-esteem; clients battling anxiety and depression; clients juggling overwhelming responsibilities; clients feeling lonely and increasingly isolated.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed therapist with a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle. Like many young adults, I had my own struggles feeling anxious, not knowing what to do with my life and overwhelmed by responsibilities. Over the last 15 years, I've studied Western and Eastern philosophies, psychotherapy techniques, and skills to help make life more peaceful, enjoyable and significant. I find meaning in sharing wisdom with others struggling to find their way in life. I have specialized training and certificates in mindfulness meditation, Cognitive Behavioral Training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Adult Attention Deficit Disorder, and Lifespan Integration. These are connected to the way I approach therapy with clients. I integrate the latest neuroscience with evidence-based practices to help people find healthier ways to cope with strong negative thoughts and emotions. Ultimately, my role is to help each client become their own therapist.
