About My Clients
My clients are 13+ and may have challenges with general mental health issues, anxiety or depression, mood disorders, crisis intervention, trauma/PTSD, domestic violence, grief & loss, spirituality, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, infidelity, anger management, substance use and self esteem obstacles.
My Background and Approach
I believe that we can work together to understand the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are causing you to feel stuck, and find tools to help you keep moving forward. I am committed to creating a safe and nurturing space to help you set your goals in therapy, find a path of change that feels authentic to who you are, and what will help you live a more meaningful and fulfilling life! I have extensive background in crisis management and am a certified first responder counselor. My experience with general mental health, severe mental illness and substance use concerns in detox, residential, criminal justice, medication-assisted therapy and outpatient settings allows me to connect with individuals seeking to focus on a wide array of challenges. I draw from many different modalities and often utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have strong beliefs centered around equality, acceptance and compassion for others. I consider myself to be an ally for under-supported communities. I am also an advocate for suicide prevention and intervention.
