My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy encompasses conveying compassion, empathy, and acceptance to promote a positive and therapeutic alliance with my clients while creating a safe environment that is welcoming and affirming of diverse backgrounds, identities, and perspectives. My therapy practice considers clients’ unique needs and goals for therapy, and, in turn, clinical interventions are tailored to the needs of my clients to help them achieve their goals and foster their self-awareness, intrinsic growth, and healing. I use various treatment modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and mindfulness techniques to assist you in achieving your therapy goals coupled with assisting you in becoming the best version of yourself and connecting with your potential. My goal as your therapist is to be your positive support as we embark on your healing and growth journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing and personal growth are achievable regardless of your background, identity or experience. Often, we navigate our environments without being seen, heard and are either silenced or afraid to voice our fears, wounds, or other concerns given people or situations that have made us feel unsafe and insecure.
