My Background and Approach
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach. After getting to know you and what you feel is most important, I will adapt to your needs. Some therapeutic approaches I use are (but are not limited to): solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have experience working with people from all walks of life. I have worked with children, adults and family; across various settings: schools, hospitals and other social service agencies. I have considerable experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, those who experience difficulties with life transitions and domestic violence. To ensure I provide my clients with the most up-to-date practices, I attend trainings, workshops and conferences. I make it a point to learn and understand what it means to be in your particular situation. Not everyone with depression is the same, not everyone with anxiety is the same and not every LGTBQ person has been the same. I want to learn about your personal experience and how I can better assist you, individually.
