About My Clients

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or in need of support? Whether you're navigating grief, managing anxiety, or facing any one of life’s challenges, I am here to help you or your child/teenager rediscover your strengths and create a path toward healing. Adjusting to the constant changes throughout life is challenging. With my unique blend of counseling and music therapy, I offer a compassionate and creative approach to help you find balance and well-being.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Music Therapist, and Board-Certified Music Therapist with over 15 years of experience helping clients of all ages thrive. My expertise spans children to older adults, specializing in grief and bereavement, psychiatric care, intellectual and physical disabilities, and medical music therapy. No matter your stage of life or clinical need, I am passionate about your well-being and offer personalized, compassionate care tailored to your unique journey. I hold a PhD in Music Education and Music Therapy, MSEd in Mental Health Counseling, and BA in Music Therapy. I blend my extensive clinical background with academic excellence by integrating current research and best practices into your care. My published research expands the untold stories of women innovators in music therapy, advocating for a more inclusive narrative. Similarly, we will collaboratively build an empowering narrative of your lived experiences.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Growing up with a congenital vision disability, I understand the struggle of others assuming your capabilities and the need to self-advocate for the tools and resources required to successfully navigate the world. Each person is the expert of their own lives, and I strive to empower you to enact your abilities to shape and mold your life and the world around you. I greatly value early intervention and proactive steps to foster our mental health. No matter our age, life requires that we never cease growing and adjusting. We all need increasing resilience and the ability to creatively problem solve. I proudly champion gender equality and centering marginalized voices as essential ingredients to improving our lives and the world we inhabit. I am a huge fan of women’s college and professional basketball. I love to spend time with my family camping, traveling, and attending live music or theater performances. You can also find me often lost in a good book.
