About My Clients
Not in Texas or New Mexico? No Problem! Check here (https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap) to see if telehealth is offered in your state). I help successful professionals figure out what’s missing. If you don’t know why you’re not happy, or if that harsh inner critic berates you, let’s talk. Maybe imposter syndrome follows you around. I help people just like you quiet the critic, ditch the shame, and feel alive and happy, often for the first time in years.
My Background and Approach
I’m a counseling psychologist with over 19 years of experience in the helping professions and over 10 years in private practice. I’m a no-BS straight-shooter, and I always hear that my calming presence puts folks right at ease. My goal is to help you connect the dots between your past and present, so that you can say goodbye to unnecessary stress, sadness and criticism. We can work together to help you live a life of joy and ease, and find the close, fulfilling relationships you’ve been seeking! You can stop second-guessing and start living. I look forward to meeting you to see if we’re a good fit!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am deeply committed to providing culturally competent care and advancing advocacy efforts for people of color. I have conducted extensive research on racial identity development and cultural competency in the field of psychology. Mental health care disparity research within the African American community remains top of mind, in addition to community involvement and advocacy efforts. I am a proud member of the Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity, and Race (Division 45) in the American Psychological Association. In 2023, I was selected to the Emerging Leaders Program of the Texas Psychological Association, where I continued my advocacy efforts in promoting diversity and inclusion efforts at the Texas State legislative level through working with the Texas Psychological Association.
