About My Clients
My clients are insightful, curious, and motivated to more deeply understand their past and present selves. Many of my clients are therapists themselves, or in helping professions. Artists, empaths, and highly sensitive individuals are drawn to my style of practice, as I share these identities, too. I best serve adults facing existential, relational, and/or identity struggles, helping them to best understand and integrate the various aspects of the demands of our consciousness.
My Background and Approach
My style of practice is influenced by existential, feminist, and psychodynamic approaches. The development of mindfulness, self-reflection and intentionality are important aspects of how I work, with a focus on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where you'll feel safe to deeply explore. I focus on the development of insight and self-compassion, while also recognizing cultural and historical factors that impact, and often impede, wellness. I strive to provide a genuine, accepting atmosphere for a deep therapeutic relationship to flourish. I also possess an extensive background in the arts, specifically in music, and I welcome incorporating creative mediums to facilitate emotional expression.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to issues related to social equity, and I strive to continually evolve in my allyship to people of color. I believe that exploring the systemic ways that people experience suffering is an essential part of working towards mental health, and I take an actively anti-racist, anti-xenophobic, anti-sexist, anti-ableist stance in both my therapeutic and personal lives.
