About My Clients

BIPOC, immigrants and people from different diasporas, women, artists, students, activists, healers, and parents seek me for support with prolonged stress and its impact on their relationships, health and life's purpose. They want a space where the intersections of their identities are held and their stories honored. I have experience supporting folks with the experiences of trauma, anxiety, stress, burnout, acculturation, how oppression shows in the body, depression, and creative blocks.

My Background and Approach

My work is grounded in different mind-body and expressive arts modalities called Somatics. During our work together, we will slow down and pay attention to the body experience in the form of physical sensations, movement, postures, and breath. This practice will support you in processing the impact of trauma, stress, and anxiety. It will also increase the capacity for feeling emotions without getting swept by them. With mindful awareness we’ll explore how stress, trauma and anxiety impacts your nervous system wether it is fear, panic, tension, restlessness, worry or burnout, emotional exhaustion, fatigue, numbness, or disconnection. We will work to understand what these symptoms mean, how are they connected to life's experiences, and what it's needed to feel more calm, centered, grounded and present for yourself and others. We will tap into creativity and imagination to access what you are longing to experience more of in your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I truly believe in the healing power of therapy. At the same time, I want this healing space to be grounded in justice. It is my commitment to break the barriers often created between these two and I strive for therapy to be a space where we can address how oppression shapes us. As a Boricua therapist born and raised in Puerto Rico, I have a particular interest in decolonizing practices. I will be a fierce companion in your healing towards feeling more vitality, balance, creativity and joy. I want to hear from you. Please contact me and tell what are you longing for. Let's work towards that!
