About My Clients
You may be the parent of a teen trying to find support for your child, or you may be in your 20's trying to sort out painful experiences you've had and where you hope to go. You may be looking for family therapy with an experienced therapist who can help to sort out difficult dynamics and conflict. You may identify as queer, a person of color, or another marginalized identity. You may work in harm reduction or as a provider in community and non-profit spaces. If so, I hope to provide support.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy in both private practice and community spaces. I work primarily from a relational perspective, centering the therapeutic relationship as the most important aspect of the work that I do. This means working collaboratively with you to get a sense of your own unique needs and establishing a sense of trust, connection, respect, and safety as a foundation for any deeper work that we may do. I value flexibility and I am able to supplement with other trauma-informed psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques—DBT, somatic psychotherapy, CBT—as may be needed. Trauma and substance use are my areas of specialty.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach to therapy draws heavily from harm reduction philosophy and from queer, feminist, and anti-racist perspectives. I have worked with a wide variety of people from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and am deeply committed to accessibility. The belief on which all of my work rests is that therapy should be accessible. I strive to be an ally.
