About My Clients
If you are a high-functioning professional navigating anxiety, life transitions, career stress, faulty coping mechanisms, or relationship challenges- you're in the right place. Serving North Carolina and Texas, I offer individual therapy for adults, group therapy, and workshops. My clients are typically achieving some level of success externally, but dealing with internal struggles other people may not be aware of. I'm passionate about making space for those silent internal challenges.
My Background and Approach
Through a trusting and safe relationship in therapy, you'll gain deep psychological insight into what makes you who you are; this gives you the freedom to make change where you want to, as well as embrace your unique gifts. I'll also equip you with skills and resources to enhance the areas in your life that need support. My primary approaches to therapy include psychodynamic, family-systems, existential, and trauma-informed orientations. I offer EMDR, DBT, and CBT-based therapy when it supports my client's goals. I am a board certified supervisor for clinical social workers in both Texas and North Carolina, a Certified Group Psychotherapist, and receive ongoing EMDR consultation and training. Areas of interest and passion for me include addiction and recovery, healing intergenerational trauma, and over-functioning behaviors in relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My background in Clinical Social Work focuses not only on training for therapy, but on helping communities, advocating for social justice and human rights. Healing requires a systems lens in which we recognize all aspects of one's existence that may contribute to their experience.
