My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the most effective approach to guiding clients in achieving their fullest human potential is to help them define their reality and perceptions of themselves. The normal individual has an efficient perception of reality. Normal individuals are fairly realistic in appraising their reactions and capabilities and interpreting what is happening in the world around them. They do not consistently misperceive what others say and do. They do not consistently over-evaluate their abilities and tackle more than they can accomplish, nor do they underestimate their abilities and shy away from complex tasks—the normal individual deals with reality.
