About My Clients

In my practice, I help moms who feel disconnected, judged and overstimulated find confidence and peace in motherhood while working through deep rooted painful unmet needs. My clients often struggle with insecure attachment and feel shame, anxiety and sadness. Having their own child is leading to increased feelings of resentment, frustration and disappointment and confusion over their own identities as parents and partners.

My Background and Approach

I am a mom of two toddlers, partner and therapist. Together We Will: Explore how to identify and meet your needs, Learn to self regulate and self soothe during toddler meltdowns and tantrums, Build healthy coping skills, Set healthy boundaries, and Strengthen your connection to yourself, your partner and your toddler. I have an intentionally casual style that allows me to build trust, relationships, and rapport at the client's pace and comfort level. I honor boundaries and understand that clients all have different preferences in the pacing of therapy. I believe progress is determined by the client's own definition and work together with clients to determine what progress looks like for them. I use a customized blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and strength-based therapy coaching methods. I am also trained in EMDR and use EMDR techniques to enhance sessions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Having had my own experience with difficult pregnancies, complicated deliveries and challenging postpartum periods, I thought I was in the clear when my babies became toddlers- only to find that toddlerhood was so much more difficult for me physically, emotionally and mentally, and I no longer had the support I had when my kids were babies and I was a new mom. No one offers to give you a break, cook you dinner or watch your baby when they turn 3, which was a huge let down. The lack of support was so crippling until I learned to make peace with my own needs and parent in a way that was best for both my toddler, my family and myself. This includes a lot of time for self care, pursuing my own identity outside of being a mom, and spending time with my partner. I know the value of learning what your needs are, making peace with them, and then learning how to meet them. I welcome all parts of you- especially the ones that are not often considered worthy of love and compassion.
