I I obtained my MSW from the University of North Alabama and am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Tennessee. I have experience working in residential treatment for substance use disorders as well as providing social services to members of the unhoused community. My experience and training have deepened my belief that every person has a unique story and deserves to be truly witnessed. I utilize somatic (mind and body connection) and contemplative (the integration of Eastern philosophies with Western psychology) approaches in session. What does this mean? Essentially, I help clients find safety and trust in their minds and bodies through nervous system regulation and mindfulness techniques.

I grew up in a highly religious and conservative environment in the Deep South. Early on, I began noticing that my natural curiosity and tendency to ask challenging questions was not always welcomed by others, especially by male church leadership. Eventually, building feelings of devaluation as a woman coupled with a desire to define a spirituality of my own led me away from the evangelical world. Although I never regretted leaving the faith I grew up in, it did not come without pain, confusion, and a profound sense of loss of personal identity and community support. With the gift of time, I have found hope and healing. Therapy, storytelling, and genuine relationships have all contributed to my spiritual and emotional development. I am honored to hold space for others who are brave enough to ask difficult questions, challenge unhealthy narratives, and work towards developing inner peace.
