About My Clients
No matter what your history and background are, I am committed to supporting, nurturing, and challenging you. I will meet you wherever you are and walk along side you to increase self-awareness and compassion, problem-solving and communication skills, and trust and harmony with others. I love working with individuals and families, starting in adolescence through any stage of adulthood.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) to work as a K-12 School Counselor. In addition to public and private school settings, I have worked in an outpatient hospital program (supporting mothers with postpartum depression and anxiety), community mental health organizations (providing consultation for Head Start (preschool) Programs in underserved neighborhoods), and now private practice. I use a strengths-based and client-centered approach; trauma-informed, solution-focused, and mindfulness based techniques; and principles of nonviolent communication (NVC), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in caring for yourself and others, and that sharing your unique personal narrative are so valuable. Change is difficult, but completely possible. You may falter, relapse, and lose hope along the way, but I and the other resources and strategies you become equipped with will support you throughout your unique and ongoing journey toward healing and growth.
