About My Clients
So many of us know what it's like to feel unfulfilled. Significant life transitions, frustrating careers, complicated relationships, and identity issues can be draining. Asking for help is one of the bravest steps that we can take. If this resonates with you, I am here to listen and offer support. I serve a variety of clients: adolescents (10+), teenagers, and adults. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds including the AAPI community.
My Background and Approach
I have spent several years practicing in community mental health settings. Following which, I received my Master’s of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am an approved supervisee in social work in the State of Virginia. My background is rooted in advocacy, having served as a court advocate for a local domestic violence program, as well as the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office. In addition, I have worked extensively in substance misuse treatment at various levels of care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I operate from a person-centered, empowerment-focused, and anti-oppressive lens that draws on your personal goals or aspirations. When appropriate, I integrate evidence-based interventions that are culturally-sensitive, as well as trauma-informed. Ultimately, I work to ensure that my approach is compassionate and tailored to your specific needs. I recognize that therapy can be extremely daunting. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can process through your lived experiences.
