I am passionate about working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and gender-expansive clients. If you are seeking a place to work through depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, body image issues, or general "stuckness," I am here to provide a safe, judgment-free environment for you to explore your capacity for healing and growth.
My Background and Approach
I operate from a person-centered theoretical approach which means that I believe that the therapeutic process should be as unique as the individual receiving it. My aim is to help you achieve your goals by exploring your truest self and uncovering your strengths and ability to grow. An important piece of this process is the acceptance and celebration of each intersection of your identity. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches into my practice. These therapeutic orientations give us language to get to know our inner worlds and create new avenues for change in our outer world. In my sessions, we will develop a collaborative relationship that emphasizes your experience as the expert of your own life. My approach is centered around using empathy, levity, and authenticity to create a genuine, compassionate therapeutic relationship where you can feel free to share your concerns and learn new ways to grow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every person has a shared connection in our humanity and I believe we can learn, grow, and flourish through this connection. There is no such thing as "crazy." You come to me as a human experiencing difficulty and I meet you as a human welcoming you to a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. As a queer, Asian woman, it is so important to me to uplift and celebrate every piece of ourselves. Reclaiming ownership of our piece of the human experience is the first step to finding peace, joy, and meaning.
