About My Clients
I have experience working with people challenged by symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and suicidal thoughts. I especially love working with those who are looking to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their life's meaning.
My Background and Approach
Drawing on my training in Psychodynamic therapy, I can aid you in understanding how early experiences have shaped your unconscious and use this insight to break out of patterns that aren't serving you. I bring warmth, humor and creativity into the therapy room. I am here to walk with you on your journey to self-discovery. Sometimes I might pull out a metaphorical map or compass and suggest we head in a certain direction, and sometimes I will provide you with silent support while you climb over a boulder in the path.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am trained in being culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, and non-judgmental. I value being anti-patriarchy and anti-racist, and when appropriate bring these lenses into therapy to look out how larger systems affect our mental health.
