I had the privilege to be trained by some of the preeminent leaders in the field of clinical social work, located in diverse and vibrant urban settings. This has shaped my clinical interests and experience. Having worked with clients from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, I am comfortable engaging with my clients in an authentic and non-judgmental manner. As a social worker, I value learning through my clinical work with clients.
I approach my clients from a biopsychosocial perspective, meaning I consider the importance of the whole person in providing effective treatment. I draw on a variety of treatment approaches, including family systems, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, narrative, solution-focused, play therapy, and mindfulness. I've worked in treatment settings such as diagnostic and assessment centers, residential treatment, home-based therapy, outpatient clinics, and school settings.
