About My Clients
Jordan is open to exploring any and all topics often considered “taboo” in society, including race/ethnicity, gender/sexuality, religion/spirituality, suicidality, and trauma. She prioritizes the therapeutic relationship by emphasizing authenticity, collaboration, and autonomy, creating space for open dialogue and exploration. Her session approach is very laid back and conversational.
My Background and Approach
Jordan holds a BS in Psychology from Texas Christian University and an MS in Counseling with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from Villanova University. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a pre-licensed clinician under supervision. Jordan approaches therapy through an anti-oppressive, systems-based lens, which shapes her commitment to decolonizing and destigmatizing mental health within BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black queer cis woman, Jordan is attuned to the dynamics of power and control in therapeutic settings. She employs a holistic, trauma-informed framework and integrates both psychodynamic therapy and Liberation-focused therapy into her practice. Her approach aims to empower and foster resilience, particularly in addressing relational fractures caused by systemic oppression.
