There is the opportunity and possibilty for healing and change. While I treat individuals with many different issues I do specialize in treating anxiety , OCD and Trauma. While I tailor my approach to the specific needs of each client, I use a mindful cognitive behavioral therapy , EMDR and ERP.
My Background and Approach
When first meeting with a new client I like to hear what they are struggling with. Then together we decide what we want to work on. I give ideas about the direction to head to meet your goals. I believe in an approach where we work together. Below are a few types of therapy that I practice: ERP is the most evidenced based treatment for OCD. ERP is a very specific type of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). And while ERP can be challenging, continuing to suffer from OCD is far more challenging. I have worked successfully with many individuals, helping them overcome a wide variety of types of OCD. There is so much hope for the OCD sufferer. EMDR -Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a type of therapy that is research based and has been proven to help with Trauma, PTSD , Anxiety and Panic. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe , nonjudgemental and compassionate place where counseling clients from all over San Diego and California can get support as they navigate through life’s challenges.
