About My Clients
My clients are each very unique human beings and I am honored to travel with them on their journey. . . We start wherever they may be when they enter therapy. Maybe they need a guide to help navigate relationships or other challenges, such as feelings of depression or anxiety. Sometimes clients are struggling with the effects of childhood trauma, such as sexual abuse. I travel with my clients and provide an empathic environment so they may heal from their past and find peace. .
My Background and Approach
I grew up in New Jersey and lived in the state of Pennsylvania for 10 years before relocating to Texas in 2003. I’m still adjusting 🙂 I have many years of both professional and personal experience working with various issues. These issues include divorce, remarriage, blended families, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma , domestic violence , sexuality , as well as unconventional lifestyles. I view the client/therapist relationship as a unique opportunity for each client to learn and grow, as well as heal. I continue to learn from each and every client. I don’t have all of the answers but I’m willing to be open minded and am not stuck in a one size fits all treatment modality. I follow Rogerian theory (person centered), which focuses on providing an atmosphere which is genuine, authentic, and nonjudgmental. It is in this healing environment, clients often learn and discover their true selves, grow, let go of past hurts, and thrive. We will go on this journey together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in social justice and that each person has the right to be who they are , so long as it does not infringe on the rights of others to be who they are. Each one of us has a unique story to share. I love learning these stories and believe sharing and listening to one another’s stories is the best part of the human condition.
