About My Clients
I work well with young men/women ages 18-40, college students, and young professionals. My clients are those who are experiencing anxiety and stress and struggle with things like self-criticism, highly sensitive processing, and people-pleasing/high achieving behaviors. My clients benefit from learning self-care, self-compassion, mindfulness, and prioritizing needs.
My Background and Approach
I help people whose anxiety is a precipitating factor in everyday life. I use research-proven approaches and techniques to help people recognize, acknowledge, and live with the full range of emotions that come by being human while addressing the behaviors that move them away from their values and the person they want to be. Together we’ll lighten the emotional weight you’re carrying and work towards having a life you feel excited about. I'm a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I specialize in working with adults and young adults in the areas of substance use and misuse, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, coping skill-building, highly sensitive persons, perfectionists, and overachievers. In addition, I have a passion for working collaboratively on issues like self-esteem, career stress, stress management, and life transitions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is capable of change when they're ready. I believe we all develop patterns of behavior learned through childhood or world conditioning. This is great news, because what is learned, can be unlearned, or re-channeled into something healthier. I have personal experience with anxiety and high achieving behaviors. Through my own therapy and self-exploration, I learned how to respond to my anxiety and so that it is not in the driver's seat of my life. There's nothing more that I want than for you to feel free from the cages anxiety puts you in. I don't discriminate against anyone. I believe laughter and authenticity needs to be present in the therapy room. I believe our therapeutic alliance will be the biggest driving force of change! It's important you see me as a human, experiencing the same feelings and emotions as you. Feel free to reach out if you think we'd make a good team.
