About My Clients
As an adolescent or young adult, you might spend most of your day in school with a variety of feelings to manage. If you have trouble in school, you might hate where you are most of your day. The anxiety and depression make it all feel unmanageable. Maybe you are just realizing that you don’t have to live each day hating your life. Together, we can work on skills you need to take control of your feelings and improve your daily life.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and specialize in the areas of anxiety, school avoidance, depression, social skills, emotional regulation skills, applying effective problem solving and study skills. I also provide psychological evaluations and diagnostic testing for children and adolescents. I have worked as a school psychologist for 14 years, so I am aware of the challenges families often face when planning for a child’s educational opportunities. I am an advocate for your child, and together we will use the data from the evaluation in order to provide your child with an optimal learning experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a background in teaching and have worked in schools for 20 years. I am very familiar with the challenges that are faced in the school system. I have worked on the Delaware County Crisis Team and have been highly trained in suicide prevention and intervention.
