About My Clients

You’ve been trying to figure out why you feel so stuck, trying to understand your feelings and make changes, but nothing is working. You want to stop feeling so anxious and operating from a place of fear. You want to be happy, to take action and make better decisions - decisions for yourself. You need support and a space to sort through it all. Of course you do, because you deserve it, and I’m here to help you.

My Background and Approach

You’ve spent the time trying to analyze things, read the books, listen to the podcasts and somehow you’re still stuck feeling alone in it all. You deserve a safe space to be unapologetically you and I’m here for you. As a trauma informed feminist therapist, I help examine stressors experienced as a result of biases, oppression and discrimination. I work with insightful folks who want to delve into the disconnects they’re experiencing: where stress, anxiety, or overwhelm is causing them to feel out of balance. I'll give you the tools to take control of your life and uncover who you truly are, so you can resurface empowered and confident and live in radical authenticity. As a clinician, I may be an expert on some things - both lived and learned, but I’ll never pretend to be an expert on you and your experiences. Working with me means that I’m going to challenge you in your journey of self discovery and that I will hold you accountable so that you can live your best life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

While I think my learned experience is pretty important, I also think lived experiences can help you feel comfortable so I operate from a perspective that you can ask me anything. I believe we are equals in the therapy room, and I’d never ask you to share and open up if I too weren’t willing to be real with you. As a child raised in a lesbian family I understand first hand what it's like to live in a space of fear because I couldn't be open about my family. As someone who struggled to conceive, I know the isolation, stress and anxiety that comes with infertility and treatment. As a child of a parent with a chronic mental health condition, I know what it's like to watch the suffering and feel the grief of losing them to suicide. These experiences have shaped my passion to support marginalized folks, live every day as a passionate ally and work hard to change the dialogues around mental health.
