About My Clients
Working with patients in managing anger issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use disorders cannot be the same as there are uniqueness in client's mental health issues. Also, I integrate a sense of humor and we-ness into clinical sessions which proven to make my patients feel relaxed, better and accepted, as well as meeting everyone where they are. My patients are experiencing meaningful life while making healthy decisions through my compassionate approach to their care.
My Background and Approach
There are various proven therapeutic interventions that promotes my patients' mental health wellness and acceptable level of functioning. In collaboration with my patients, we will identify clinical issues and develop specific techniques in resolving them. Integrative therapeutic approaches are utilized in sessions. Degrees that I obtained were in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling/ Substance Use Counseling. My professional credentials are Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified TeleMental Health Provider and Certified- DBT Provider and Certified Clinical Trauma Provider in supporting patients with co-occurring Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders using evidence-based clinical interventions such as CBT, DBT, REALITY THERAPY, EMDR, MINDFULNESS-BASED INTERVENTION, POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY, ACCEPTANCE COMMITMENT THERAPY, CLIENT-CENTERED THERAPY. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Value- driven lifestyle is part of what motivates me towards self-development. I aspire daily in becoming a better version of myself. This guides my practice and I work with my patients in developing themselves to unlearn negative thinking pattern that could limit them in becoming the person they purported to be, thereby learning a new and better way of improving their manifest functioning. Relearning remains the experience of working with my patients as a way of retaining healthy thinking patterns in meeting their treatment expectations. I work with patients and meet everyone where they are. My patients' mental health issues and/or substance use disorders are unique to them and treatment goals are developed in collaboration with patients clinical needs.
