Do you find yourself overwhelmed, stressed, and having reactions that seem out of control? Are you tired of trying to fill the void with overworking, scrolling, or using substances? We often repeat patterns that are familiar, no matter how uncomfortable they are. In learning to calm down your nervous system and gaining awareness into yourself, you will be be able to make changes to stop the cycle of chaos.
My Background and Approach
I take a compassionate, person-centered approach to therapy. After taking some time to get to know each other and establish goals, you will learn applicable coping skills to make the changes needed to grow. I often use DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-focused psychoeducation in sessions. I am trained in auricular acupuncture which can be an added tool to help calm the nervous system and connect your mind and body.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that anyone is capable of change and growth. We often do what we know and once we start to become curious, we can change our perspective and elicit change. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore past experiences and your current struggles with trauma, substance use, anxiety, and relationship issues.
