About My Clients
My clients hunger for self-understanding and self-actualization, and use therapy as a way to connect with purpose and develop their self-worth. My clients are often creative, sensitive, and revolutionary. Many of my clients are women, femmes, non-binary, and/or practicing/exploring polyamory.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in clinical mental health through Portland State University. I am also trained in Hakomi and various other mindful/experiential modalities through the M.E.T.A. Training Center in Portland, Oregon. Prior to my training as a therapist, I earned a B.F.A. in Studio Art, and worked in both volunteer and professional capacities furthering causes to advocate for and empower women. I hold a person-centered, humanistic perspective, that all human beings are naturally oriented towards growth. At the same time, wounding experiences can create stuck and painful patterns. Using mindfulness and body-awareness, we will examine and uncover beliefs that create self-limiting patterns. Using experiential methods, new preferred ways of being can be developed, tested, and ultimately incorporated into a richer, more fulfilling way of being.
