About My Clients
My clients all have different backgrounds and goals but they found me because they wanted a therapist who would challenge them. Areas of interest and experience for me include, but are not limited to trauma, abuse, attachment, grief (particularly after suicide loss), addiction, depression, anxiety, and spiritual growth.
My Background and Approach
When working with me, we will start by discussing relevant history, determining goals based on the challenges you prioritize, and getting to know each other. For those with trauma, we can start with regulating the nervous system & determining concrete ways to target anxiety & panic. It is also helpful to explore family of origin patterns and attachment as this informs how we relate to ourselves and others. Over the years, my life has been touched by a multitude of mental health issues with friends and family: addiction, Borderline Personality Disorder, depression, psychosis and homelessness, and suicide. I personally understand the pain and challenges that come with these struggles, and I can help you on your own journey. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in 2012, and began my work with adolescents in a residential treatment facility, doing group and individual work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I absolutely LOVE being a therapist and enjoy going to work everyday. I'm honored my clients share their difficult experiences with me and entrust me to help guide them. I always work hard for my clients and will do as much as I can to help you heal and grow. I also love working with people who have a spiritual practice!
