About My Clients
I have a dedicated heart for helping all those who struggle with feelings of sadness, loneliness, isolation, confusion, and other negative emotions. The areas that I primary focus my therapeutic concentration on are those struggling with disordered eating, body dysmorphia, and those who are struggling with low self-esteem and confidence. It is an honor to unite with you in working toward better living and overall life satisfaction.
My Background and Approach
My style of therapy is a collaborative approach that begins with learning about all aspects of your life. I hold a strong belief that our mental health is not solely psychological, but it is impacted by a variety of factors. To begin, we'll review the intricacies of your lifestyle, including your relationships, sleep habits, nutrition, exercise routine, etc. as this provides critical information into how these factors may be impacting your mental health. Then, we'll determine goals that you want to reach that are realistic and unique to you and develop a plan on how to achieve your goals. Throughout our work together we'll identify triggers that may ignite negative behaviors or thoughts and we'll develop healthy coping skills and thought processes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My belief in rights for all runs deep and I have a strong passion for giving a voice to those who often go unheard. I am a member of the National Council on Aging and provide support to seniors. Additionally, I am a vegetarian and animal rights advocate.
