The holidays can often amplify stress, loneliness, or unresolved issues —and it can feel like just too much to manage alone.

About My Clients

I work with clients who feel depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or maybe they’re not even sure what they’re feeling but they know something’s deeply wrong or missing in their lives. Others are experiencing a bumpy transition or feel confused, stuck or unhappy about their relationships, their career, their future. We'll work together to help you access your innate strengths and understand, work through and change ways of being that no longer serve you to enhance your well-being and quality of life.

My Background and Approach

I employ an integrative approach, tailoring treatment to each patient's needs while drawing from a variety of theoretical orientations. Training in Marriage and Family Therapy has enhanced my ability to understand couples and individuals in the context of their overall relational dynamics. I also employ a Psychodynamic approach, which enables you to understand more fully how your early life experiences inform your present behaviors, feelings, and patterns. A Person-Centered perspective honors your intrinsic knowledge of self, resilience, and your own ability to heal and grow. And, Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) and Strengths-Based Disciplines help you identify and access your unique strengths and utilize new tools to help create positive life changes.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is at the heart of all transformative therapy — and that the process is deeply collaborative. I know how difficult it can be to seek help, especially when you feel you're at a low point, but I am committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the work to take place. I began practicing psychotherapy in 1996 but in 2000, personal circumstances necessitated that I become the sole-supporter of my family, so I pivoted to a corporate career in business development and leadership roles. This experience reinforced my deep belief that accessing and nurturing resilience, among other key skills, is an essential ingredient to successfully navigating the twists and turns that are part of a full life. I am thrilled to be able to return to my passion, working with clients on their journey to improve the quality of their lives. And I look forward to speaking with you. Feel free to connect for a 30-minute free consultation.
