About My Clients
My clients are successful professionals who, despite their external success, often feel hampered by their private thoughts. They are frequently people on edge and who spend too much time analyzing the day's or past conversations, rehashing them repeatedly. Often these thoughts get in the way of their relationship, hobbies, and enjoying life to its fullest. I use cognitive and mindfulness technics to help people finding a new way forward.
My Background and Approach
My approach is to quickly help you identify realistic solutions, eliminate roadblocks contributing to your troubles, and develop a long-term strategy to incorporate a sustainable path. I combine cognitive, mindfulness, and interpersonal therapies, as well as a bit of humor when appropriate, to help meet and address your unique needs. My goal is to teach you skills or tongues that you can use now and in the future. Often we can lessen the impact of anxiety and or build up our tolerance to it, which enables us to accomplish our goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe there are limits to our change and adapt to our current situation. I think we develop mental health issues mainly because of unhealthy learned behaviors we have picked up along the way. This means we can unlearn theses behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I have had my own journey with AD/HD and Dyslexia, which has caused unhealthy behaviors on my part. Through my own therapy I learned how to handle my anxiety and differences and not only move past them but to thrive. I can help you find your path to a happier. I will not judge you no matter where you are on your journey and will help you see the way to a better future. I don't discriminate against anyone. I make it a point to support all the various communities that do not suppress fundamental human rights; to me, this means everyone has the right to love who they wish and to be loved for how they are.
