About My Clients

Have you tried different ways to feel better that haven't worked? Or is this your first time reaching out and you're not sure how? Maybe you have ideas for what might help, but you just can't get started. I get it. Depression and anxiety can be crushing. The feeling of being overwhelmed, scared, unsure, and hopeless can stop you in your tracks. The good news is that we can work through these feelings together, and get to the life you’ve envisioned for yourself.

My Background and Approach

For the past 10+ years my work has focused on helping people learn how to handle depression and anxiety, ultimately decreasing the intensity of their feelings over time. I want to help you feel more like yourself, and give you the ability to identify and achieve your goals. Together we’ll figure out what happens when you feel anxious and/or depressed by looking to understand what’s happening in your body and brain. This helps us chart the path forward so you can finally gain control over these emotions. I'll often end our sessions giving potential tools and techniques for you to use in situations that may arise before the next time we meet. This allows you to build up your ability to handle emotions/reactions and feel empowered to manage them.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In my sessions, I strive to create an environment where you can express yourself honestly and authentically. I promise to show up in the same way in my work with you. When you’re in a space that opens you up to vulnerability, growth happens. I often check-in with my clients to see how they feel our work is going. Are we on the right path? Do we need to shift? Have we accomplished what we set out to? This helps ensure that you are getting what you want and need from therapy. A lot of my clients say they have trouble saying no, asking for what they need, or speaking up for themselves. By having this open dialogue in session, it not only helps us, but it also helps you practice those important relationship skills to use in other areas of your life.
