About My Clients

Your mind goes to places you may be afraid of, and you try avoiding, distracting, or fighting with yourself to make it go quiet. You're sick of the cycle and want to feel calm, capable, and in-control. You want a therapist who *gets* you, and has real-time skills to make actual change!
My Background and Approach
With 13+ years in the clinical helping field, I've got an eclectic background as a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC), certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC), and am a Tennessee licensed professional counselor - mental health service provider (LPC-MHSP). I offer therapy to motivated teens and adults who struggle with various kinds of anxiety, depression, burnout, PTSD & trauma, OCD, phobias, panic attacks, hair & skin-picking, & insomnia. It's not my goal to make you dependent on therapy! It's my goal to guide you through life's challenges, and find ways to continue to understand & support yourself. The therapy styles I use are practical, interactive, and science-driven, with a focus on developing new ways to react to your specific struggles. I won't just sit, nod my head, and ask how you feel! We'll work on tried-and-true ways to find relief, so that you are empowered to keep growing even AFTER therapy ends. So that, when life is lifing, you can sail through it confidently!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in authenticity in both the therapeutic relationship, and as a human being on this planet. I operate from a trauma-informed, anti-racist, anti-oppression, anti-systemic framework and am LGBTQIA+ allied. I believe that every human being has inherent worth and dignity, and when I'm not providing clinical mental health services, I volunteer with marginalized peoples in a number of creativity-and-empowerment-driven capacities.
