About My Clients
I love working with individuals who are in transitional spaces, processing trauma, or are examining their values around relationships, culture, or sexuality. It would be an honor to walk with you as you discover what it looks like to truly embrace your own mind, heart, and body.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is relational, trauma-informed, and attuned to the connection between the mind and the body. Folks describe me as warm and attentive, and I’m certainly not against utilizing the healing power of laughter! I strive to provide attentive care in my spaces, leaning into the places where uncertainty and pain have felt heavy. I believe our minds and bodies carry our life experiences, both good and bad, and flourishing happens when we are seen, understood, and respected. I believe going to therapy is one of the best gifts you can give yourself—the gift of attentiveness and connection in a world that too often encourages rushing through, pushing away, and simple surviving. I would love to connect and see if we might be a good fit for this important work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
An anchoring goal for me is to be less afraid of our own minds. We don't think or feel anything for absolutely no reason, so leaning in, even into those uncomfortable emotions we would like to deny or ignore, will lead to more growth, understanding, and flourishing. We are creatures of patterns and habits, so I think things we avoid or ignore show up in those patterns. I'm always about offering more tenderness and kindness to our systems, because we are the way we are for a reason. I also believe freedom begets freedom, so as you begin to embrace and understand more of yourself, a domino effect of flourishing begins. I am a queer woman who practices body acceptance, is awake to systemic oppression, and is passionate about learning to listen to our bodies. I place lots of value in the goodness of fit between therapist and client, so I will encourage you in your journey of finding the right care for you, even if that isn't with me. Congrats on beginning or continuing your search!
