About My Clients

My clients are cis/trans women who have experienced religious abuse or Adverse Religious Experiences, struggle with anxiety, depression, difficult/toxic relationships, or general life transitions and stress, and are interested in exploring healing in a safe and gentle therapeutic relationship. I work well with clients who have an openness and curiosity to explore all parts of themselves and are willing to invite me along their journey to healing.

How I Can Help You

I've always been interested in the healing power of relationships and it’s in this in-between space between two people, where deep, meaningful, therapeutic work can occur. I approach my therapeutic work with kindness, compassion, and complete positive regard for my clients. I believe therapeutic work can help individuals move through significant trauma, connect mind and body, modify ineffective ways of being in the world or relating with others, and adopt new ways of living in order to achieve a better understanding of who they are, and find peace. I work to explore my clients’ lives and stories in a safe and warm setting. In this space, you can move at a pace that is comfortable for you. Each person is unique, so I utilize a psychodynamic, client-centered approach, including customizing therapy according to your needs, comfort level, and circumstances.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe that we often undervalue ourselves and underestimate our ability to love and to be loved. I believe that how we view ourselves is molded and shaped by our relationships: family, our religious or spiritual environment, god, teachers, and friends. I believe that only within relationships can healing occur. I believe anyone can find healing, regardless of sexuality, age, race, or gender. I believe both cis and trans-women are overlooked and dismissed by our patriarchal society and it is our birthright to take up space in this world. I believe Black Lives Matter. I make it a priority to financially support organizations and groups that are fighting against systemic racism. I believe in making room for our LGBTQIA+ community, especially those who have been harmed within a religious community. I believe in sex-positivity; that sexuality can thrive in non-monogamy and consensual kink/BDSM. If you want to learn more about how I can help, send me a message or email.
